On May 30, 2019 a delegation of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy led by its Director, Alexey Shaburov visited the official opening of the international festival “Intermuseum-2019” in Moscow Manege. This year’s instance of the event is themed around “Professionals’ Dialogue” and features new Russian museums under three years.
On May 28, 2019, the Federal State Duma of the Russian Federation held the opening ceremony of the Great Russian and Chinese Calligraphy exhibition designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationship between Russia and China.
Thursday the 30th of May is the second to last day of the exhibition organized by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and the State Duma Committee on Education and Science.
Yuan Pu, one of the first participants of calligraphy exhibitions orchestrated by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, is also featured at the exhibition hosted at the State Duma between May 28 and 31, 2019, with his artworks “We Build the Motherland Together Under One Belt – One Road Policy,” and “May the Friendship between China and Russia Last Forever.”
The Great Russian and Chinese Calligraphy exhibition, which is underway between May 28 and 31, 2019, features the artworks by leading calligraphers from Foshan – they are a quote from the collection of stories “The Garden of Expressions” by member of Presidium of Guangdong Association of Calligraphers Wang Zhimin, and an artwork named “The Sky and The Sea” by renowned He Zhibin.

The last Monday Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre was visited by one of the guests of honour attending the Great Russian and Chinese Calligraphy exhibition, which opens today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation – Zhandos Boldykov. There are people who enjoy giving gifts and are good at it. Petr Suspitsin, Director of the Rare Book from Saint Petersburg publishing house is good enough for his visit to the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy to be a historical event.
The museum features Gennady Semenov's collection of household tube radio sets and radios made both in the USSR and in the Western countries. It took over 30 years to search and restore the exhibits, yet almost all of them can boast original packages and operational condition.

Another waypoint for the expedition is the Museum of Cheese from Kostroma. An antique late 18th century merchant's mansion (Reschikov's House) on Tchaikovsky Street features an extensive exhibit of the global cheese making history.
As the expedition progresses to unlock new museums on its route, another unique location is the Museum of Bread in Kostroma. Located in an antique trade shop that used to sell flour and grain since the end of the 18th century, the museum, launched in April 2018, has been operational for over a year now.
Calligraphy is a kind of music not for the ears, but for the eyes.
