Embroidery may also use other materials such as metal strips, pearls, beads, quills, sequins, jewels, coins, and paillettes. Sewing machines can be used to create machine embroidery. In our country embroidery is one of the most popular kinds of art and handicraft. At a first glance it may seem that embroidery is not connected with calligraphy. Viktor Saliev is an exhibitor at the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. He creates his works not only on fabric but on metal, glass, stone and other materials.
