Channel 1 team visited Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

May 24 is the Day of Slavonic Writing and Culture in Russia – a celebration to honour the memory of the holy Methodius and Cyril, Equals of the Apostles. Calligraphy artist Yuri Koverdyaev picked this date to run an insightful workshop in the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.

The Day of Slavonic Writing in the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy let visitors know more about the history of Slavonic writing and various handwriting forms of Cyrillic, including uncial, half-uncial, cursive and vyaz, and also featured a workshop by calligraphy artists.
