Director of the National Centre for Manuscripts and Rare Books visited Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre

The last Monday Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre was visited by one of the guests of honour attending the Great Russian and Chinese Calligraphy exhibition, which opens today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation – Zhandos Boldykov. Director of the National Centre for Manuscripts and Rare Books of the Ministry of Culture and Sport in the Republic of Kazakhstan arrived a day before to meet with Alexey Shaburov, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. At the meeting Shaburov and Boldykov discussed the potential cooperation between calligraphers from Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan, as some of the Kazakhstani calligraphy artworks can already be found in the collection of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, or seen at its exhibitions.
