Between May 28 and 31 the Federal State Duma of the Russian Federation is holding the Great Russian and Chinese Calligraphy exhibition, which celebrates a landmark date – the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationships between Russia and China. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 4:00 PM today and is due to see some high-profile guests, including representatives of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of External Affairs, and MGIMO, outstanding calligraphy artists from the Chinese Calligraphy Association “Sharp-Pointed Nibs”, Shanghai Calligraphy Association, representatives of leading Chinese companies, and many more. The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation, Mr. Li Hui, will also join the exhibition opening ceremony.
The unique calligraphy artworks on display will call to reflect the importance of preserving the traditional writing and calligraphy not only as an object d'art, but also as the important tool that enables every next generation to preserve the love to its national alphabet, and intent for personal development.
Calligraphy is a remedy and mental gymnastics.
