On 14th of February, the Saint Valentine’s Day, Marat Basharov, famous theatre and film actor, talented film director visited the Museum accompanied by Ildar-hazrat Alyautdinov, general imam of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
In January the lecture “No “silk road” of the Cyrillic script” took place in the Modern museum of calligraphy in Sokolniki. The lecture’s attendees got acquainted with the exciting story of the development and “plastic” content of the civil script during the reign of Peter the First and they discussed the sociocultural preconditions of the reform having a state concern, the complexities of the evocation of concepts referring to the Latin script’ cyrillization as well as the consequences of the alphabet’s drastic alterations.
