On February 11th the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy will dive into creativity, harmony and love as Ekaterina Orfanova, calligraphy artist and designer of Lacart Design, will hold a St. Valentine's Day cards making workshop. The event starts at 3:00 pm.
The world sinks in digital today – the Internet lets you easily pick an image for any occasion, find a text and then email or print your message. People tend to forget what a handwritten message is and eagerly employ ready to use, and so often template based, designs. But even so, hand-made gifts still remain especially valuable for each and every one of us. What we call manual labour is in genuine demand in the industry of celebrations: cards and envelopes, calendars, certificates, letters and much more… You must admit, a card is first and foremost an emotion, but no digital or graphic arts print will be able to convey the profound feelings, as a fine hand-made piece will. Every detail matters, because the little masterpiece comes as a perfect reflection of its creator’s soul.
