Maierhofer Johann Georg

Biography

  • Before 1990, he studied calligraphy on his own
  • 1990-1993, pupil of Professor Werner Eikel in Schwert
  • 1994-1997, Regensburg, workshop in the Regensburg University Arts College
  • Since 1993, teaching in Regensburg, Freiburg, Margeburg, Landshut, and Schwerte
  • Since 1996, a free calligrapher artist in Regensburg
  • 1998, working at a studio in the Regensburg House of Artists
  • Since 2000, working at the School of Writing in Regensburg
  • Member of Ars Scribendi
  • 2001, Heart Talks video installations
  • 2002, founded the Landshut Calligraphic Society
  • In 2003, founded the Upper Pfalz Calligraphic Society
  • In 2004, he worked in a studio in Neunburg-am-Walde
  • In 2005, he wrote a book on calligraphy published by Gondrom-Verlag; became a member of Schreibwerkstatt Klingspor
  • In 2006, he wrote a second and a third book on calligraphy published by Urania-Verlag
  • In 2007, he received the award of the Federation of the German Language and Writing
