Wide media coverage of the “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition

On September 20-22 Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre in Moscow held the “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition, designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between China and Russia.

The event was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the State Duma Committee for Education and Science, the State Duma Committee for Culture, the Federation Council Committee for International Affairs, the Embassy of China to Russia, China Cultural Centre in Moscow, the National Union of Calligraphers of Russia, calligraphy association “Sharp-pointed Nibs,” Zhang Hai Institute of Contemporary Calligraphy, and the Chinese Association of Calligraphers.

The exhibition included talks, workshops, musical performances and tea ceremonies, offering insights into some calligraphy tricks, as well as into the traditions and music of ancient China.

Leading federal media, including RIA Novosti, Mayak Radio, China Radio International, CGTN, Moskva 24, Regnum, Trud and many others, widely covered the event, publications also appeared on the websites of the Mayor of Moscow, and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
