On July 31st, 2018 a meeting took place with Kong Lingmin, a scholar, professor, one of the leading culture and philosophy experts, and Xiao Hua, Deputy Director of Siber JSC.
During the negotiations, a particular emphasis was placed on the so-called multicultural language space. Kong Lingmin expressed deep interest in the collection and commented on writing styles as well as the works themselves. He also provided insights into the works in Old Chinese. Modern Standard Chinese has undergone multiple transformations and to be able to draw analogies to its ancestor, one requires a background in ethnography.
Xiao Hua shared that as a student he searched out small museums in provinces and villages–the ones that never appeared on tourist leaflets and were known only to locals.
During their meeting, Kong Lingmin and Xiao Hua committed themselves to making their fair share of contribution to the organization and holding of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting: One Belt–One Road, which will take place in October 2019.
Professional help and support by the staff and organizers of the exhibition will help bring out the beauty and power of the Chinese folk culture, discover the fascinating fusion of Chinese philosophy and art, and even unveil some previously unknowns aspects of this ancient civilization.
When there are no words left, the meaning is still preserved.
