The first in Russia International Exhibition of Calligraphy in progress in the city of Saint-Petersburg keeps amazing and surprising its native citizens as well as guests of the capital of the North.
Some visitors virtually stand in awe of the beauty and luxury they have seen. There are many people queuing before the Guestbook. All of them are filled with pleasure and delight to share their impressions – all visitors are offered a writing pen and ink, not a ballpoint pen, to write a line or two…
Here are just a few of the feedbacks and observations we got from the enthusiastic visitors:
“When I was heading to the exhibition earlier this morning, I was not that thrilled and exalted. I just wanted to see what the art of calligraphy is. Still, you never know… I did not expect this exhibition to fill me with such a HUGE pleasure. The wonderful museum halls virtually sank into the atmosphere of mystery and the vibes of magic. Beautiful music was accompanying every step I made. There were natural flowers everywhere, which filled the air with their nice aromas. Calligraphy is a real art. I think that calligraphy is not only about beautifully written texts; calligraphy works remind me of full-fledged pictures painted with letters, lines, all those quaint twirls and flourishes. The sun, a butterfly, a dragonfly, rain – all made of letters!”
“The International Exhibition of Calligraphy is one of the best events I have attended recently. I never knew I would be able to see so many masterpieces in one place. These calligraphic works are awesome, offering the whole range of the most original solutions. Just look at the black and white décor designs, music in the background, elegantly dressed security guys, 10th century books, and unique calligraphic utensils – all fashionably set in the most marvelous halls of the Russian Academy of Arts. One thing is missing – free champagne…”
The strength of such enthusiastic feedbacks is innumerable!
