The 28th International Calligraphy Conference was held recently in the northwestern wing of Naperville College, Chicago, Illinois. This conference is the traditional meeting point for everyone who is keen on calligraphy art. Many participants are members of various calligraphers’ guilds, and every year one of the guilds takes up responsibility for the conference organisation.
Masters from all over America as well as Japan, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Russia, and Germany meet here. They all are united by the mutual desire to share their experience and learn about the secrets of beautiful handwriting from the recognised masters. The conference in Chicago was organised in cooperation with Jim Chin and Lisa Kivland. For more than three years, they have been doing the best they could to make this conference happen.

Andrea Wunderlich, a participant of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy project, also attended the conference presenting the September event to the meeting’s participants and visitors. Many well-known calligraphers present happened to have already been in the know of the upcoming project in St. Petersburg. The first exhibition, which will unite calligraphic schools from all over the world, has captivated each and every conference participant, certainly arresting attention of the world aristocracy of talent.
