Thomas Ingmire is a newcomer to the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. For about twenty years calligrapher, designer, and illuminator Thomas Ingmire has been engaged in teaching and conducting workshops all around the world.
Creative activity of Mr Ingmire evolved from landscape design. He got his BA in landscape architecture at the Ohio State University and MA at the University of California, Berkley.
He has participated in dozens of group and one-man shows; his works are kept in many art collections. Since 1978, Ingmire has given much energy to teaching, conducting workshops in America, Canada, Australia, and Europe, as well as Japan and Hong-Kong. Currently he is involved in collaborative work with a number artists and poets, including the Pablo Neruda series of books with Manuel Neri; work as an illuminator on the Saint John’s Bible project; cooperation with poets Tsering Wangmo and David Jones Annwn.
