The way of calligraphy

To write about things that I can not fully understand and to feel creativity through the words.

We can relate our calligraphy history to the Portuguese, Spanish or Dutch conquers but contemporary calligraphy art is relatively new in Brazil, we could point out Miran, one of the greatest graphic artists who mastered the medium with great power during the 20th century.

The street and vernacular calligraphy is used wide spread through the country, especially among poor areas of the cities due to low budget production cost. Creating an interesting source of inspiration for contemporary artists.

Currently calligraphy art is expanding, with more people talking about it, studying, exploring and experimenting.

Brazil has a strong background in fine arts, photography and graphic design; there is no doubt that it is a great time to be a calligrapher in Brazil.
