Political texts presented in calligraphy

The first Russian Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy was opened today in Moscow.

The exposition displays 250 exhibits, where 130 paintings from various calligraphy schools of 26 countries are demonstrated as well. The museum’s space is designed in a special way to emphasize and decipher the ancient art of cryptography a little bit more. In particular, the exposition features such unique additions as water and fire elements. The lighting effects are also well-weighed.

But anyway, the biggest attention will be directed on the calligraphy installations, exquisite applied calligraphy items, old manuscripts, rare letters, rare manuscripts in miniature, writing utensils of the past and present.

There are also artworks representing the political sphere: the one and only handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, a collection of Constitutions of different countries in miniature, including a rare edition of the first Soviet Constitution established in 1921.
