Workshop in calligraphy being offered at library

This month’s Picture This hands-on workshop, to be held Saturday, November 7, will feature the art of calligraphy. The event will be held at the Edith B. Siegrist Vermillion Public Library.

In the workshop, participants with little or no experience will be given instructions on the basics (nib angle, basic strokes, and letter forms) and begin the journey into the art form. Those with more experience can focus on more advance concepts like spacing, layout, rosemaling, flourishing, and engrossing. Most materials provided. Led by artist and teacher Peter Deming.
