Today the organizers of the exposition in the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy prepared something new – Pyotr Chobitko, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Union of Calligraphers, the creator of the first in Russia handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, gave his master-class.
Pyotr Chobitko, who has been studying the history of scripts for over 35 years, had much to tell his listeners. A huge crowd of people gathered in the cozy atmosphere clearly proved that Mr. Chobitko was not suffering from lack of attention. The lecture was about the calligraphic gamuts, the basis of this delicate art; everyone could feel closer to the beautiful art of calligraphy. The fact that the man sitting in front of the audience was not the man who had merely studied calligraphy from the books but the man who had created the first in Russia handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation in five months only deepened the interest to what was happening at the stage.
It only remains to thank the organizers for the festival of letters and beauty, which warmed our hearts on a cold December day.
Man′s beauty is in the beauty of his writing.
