Woman Writes With Hands and Feet Simultaneously

An ambidextrous woman can now simultaneously write with her feet as well.

Since making news a year and a half ago for her ability to write two languages with both hands at the same time, Chen Siyuan wondered if she could improve upon her skills.

With time, the 26-year-old realized she could also control her feet muscles well enough for them to write as well.

With calligraphy pens in both her hands and tucked between her toes, each of Chen's limbs can write a different line of a four-line classical Chinese poem.

The former translator said that writing with all her limbs takes a great amount of concentration.

Chen Siyuan, calligraphy writer, said (in Mandarin):

«When you write four different lines of poetry or four different things at the same time, it takes a lot more energy from your mind than if you write only one poem at a time. So my mind feels a bit tired.»

Chen said she has visited a brain expert and a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, who both said the part connecting her left and right hemispheres is more developed than the average person.

The multi-tasker also challenged herself to write Chinese characters and the Roman alphabet simultaneously, though she thinks the curves in alphabets make it more difficult than the strokes of Chinese characters.
