What it was like in September 2019

At that time, Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre gathered private and people’s museums of Russia to hold their professional exhibition for the first time in history. Sokolniki served as a platform, a foundation for the new movement of private and people’s museums. On this foundation, new communities and social movements emerged, which continue to build upon the ideas laid by the exhibition and promote private and people’s museums.
