Volunteers of the Victory designed greeting cards for veterans in Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

As the Victory Day draws near, the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre held a unique activity engaging the Volunteers of the Victory youth social cause. The best of the best youngsters from all across Russia visited an exhibition of calligraphy, designed to commemorate the Victory Day, and were demonstrated calligraphy and artistic works united by a common topic of war. After that calligraphy artist and trainer of the National School of Calligraphy Artem Lebedev led 100 best volunteers to write Marshal Zhukov’s words with pointed pen and ink on a regular paper. As we recall the horrors of war and feel the tragedies that affected each and every family together with volunteers, we remember the heroism that left a mark in the history for good, and do honour and bow down before those who stood against fascism for the freedom and lives of future generations.

We hope this first instance of the event, titled The Victory Letter, will mark the beginning of an annual tradition and will travel to many other locations in Russia.

We are happy to wish our dear veterans to enjoy this special day of the Victory!
