The Russian Academy of Arts supports the “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition

President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Zurab Tsereteli, sent a welcoming letter to the team of the “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition, where he pointed to the exhibition as a bright cultural event, and called Chinese calligraphy a high art and an incredible phenomenon in the treasury of the human culture. Knowledge of the spiritual culture of China is critical for Russia as a Eurasian state, where the Eastern studies are one of the key public factors. Moreover, the cultural relationship between Russia and China is a relevant direction and important component for development of each of the countries, the letter said.
