“Beauty is truth, truth beauty," – that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know. John Keats.
Peter Greenaway, a world-famous English avant-garde film director, writer, artist, author of a film dedicated to calligraphy, visited the Rosupak exhibition the framework of which includes the presentation of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. Mr. Greenaway highly appreciated the concept behind the project. In his opinion, a letter is a live organism. The film director pledged to participate in the September exhibition and to organize the retrospective screening of his films, which will make the project more expressive and prove calligraphy is not a still art but an art of action. Mr. Greenaway remarked, “Typography is prose, and calligraphy is poetry. And we all need that.”
Calligraphy is a kind of music not for the ears, but for the eyes.
