The meeting of the museum representative with a famous artist and calligrapher

Alexey Harutkin, Deputy Director for Research of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy met a Chinese famous artist and calligrapher Xu Qingping during his business trip. Alexey told the artist in detail about the work of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and a great project – exhibition: “Great Chinese calligraphy and painting”, dedicated to a memorable date – establishment of diplomatic relationship between Russian Federation and China. The exhibition will take place in the territory of park Sokolniki, September, 20-22, 2019. Mr. Xu Qingping was glad to meet Deputy Director and expressed hope that such projects would encourage further development and strengthening the cultural relations between Russia and China.

Xu Qingping - is an artist of traditional Chinese painting and a calligrapher, professor, PHD of Paris University of the Arts, a son of a famous Chinese artist Xu Beihong (1895-1953). He is the Head of a Research Center of Xu Beihong Creativity.
