On the week of the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of its state independence, a prestigious Isaiah Award has been presented to the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4). It is an ancient Biblical prophecy about the forthcoming Messianic era, which is scribed by prominent Israeli calligrapher Avraham Borshevsky on handmade vellum.
At some point the people of Earth will wise up and cease to eradicate each other, Isaiah predicts. These optimistic prophetic words keep hopes alive that human beings will learn to use the God given intellect for a good cause, says Mr. Borshevsky.
United Israel Appeal, or Keren Hayesod, awards it’s Isaiah Award to international leaders and philanthropists, who have deserved appreciation from the State of Israel. The list of past Award winners includes the US Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron, movie actress Sharon Stone, Israeli philanthropists Mikhael Mirilashvili and Alexander Mashkevitch, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.
Those Awards according to Israeli state orders creates Avraham Borshevsky. His world famous Mezuzah among his other masterpieces always attracts the attention of visitors of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.
