The Primorskiy museum and the International Cultural & Arts Exchange Association (ICA) with support of the Japanese center in Vladivostok are opening an exhibition of calligraphy at 6 pm on October 17th.
Exhibitions organized by the International Cultural & Arts Exchange Association extend their boundaries each year.
Since 1985, the exhibitions have been held in Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and the USA. Now the audience in Vladivostok will have the opportunity to explore paintings, calligraphy and ink drawings. The Association united artists from different countries, who create their works to strengthen friendship and peace in the world. Starting with 2012 artists from Russia began their participation in the exhibitions as well.
The exhibition will present works by masters from Japan, Korea, the USA, Australia, and Russia; Japanese and Korean artists will hold demonstration performances for the guests. Besides this, Kamata Yukiko, head of the Society for Calligraphy, Syuo-kai, representative of ICA, and Dmitry Ryzhov, Vladivostok artist, designer and calligrapher will conduct master classes in calligraphy.
The exhibition will run until November 3rd, 2014.
