On December 1, the History Museum of the Alexandrovo-Shchapovo estate announced that it was preparing the opening of the folk costumes exhibition “Wide is My Motherland”. “The institution displays exhibits from the private collection of Elena Bunakova, a member of the Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia. The exhibition will introduce visitors to women’s traditional national costumes. The collection is divided into three parts The first of them contains the national women’s costumes of the former Soviet republics, and the second one shows the attire of the autonomous entities of the Russian Federation. The last part of the collection presents traditional dresses around the world”, explained Natalia Parfenova, Director of the History Museum of the Alexandrovo-Shchapovo estate. We should add that the grand opening of the exhibition, which will last until the end of this month, took place on December 3. The exhibition is held with adherence to all the epidemiological standards and requirements. To visit the museum it is required to have a QR code.
