The Hidden Treasury goes from Istanbul to Kazan

The Hidden Treasury: Classic Turkish Art exhibition has started its journey from Istanbul to Kazan to unfold on April 2, 2013 in the Manezh of the Kazan Kremlin, featuring traditional kinds of Turkish art — Islamic calligraphy, miniature, and Ebru.

The Hidden Treasury: Classic Turkish Art exhibition is a result of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the National Palaces of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey fruitful cooperation. Kazan will see works by Levent Karaduman, Ebru master Hikmet Barutchgil, artists Nilufer Kurfeyz and Selim Saglam, miniaturist Taner Alakus. The total number of exhibits amounts to 100. Moreover, during the first week of the fixed event period the Turkish artists will conduct a series of master-classes and workshops and give lectures on classic Turkish art traditions for professors and students of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.
