The Days of Russian Writing

The Days of Russian writing were celebrated during the presentation of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. The well-known calligraphers from all over Russia were open and ready to speak with everyone interested.

Stories about the evolution of Slavic and Russian scripts evoke keen interest among the listeners. The focus of everyone’s attention was the archive materials: from the tenth-century Sava’s Book to the eighteenth-century Menologium. Thus, the whole exposition, if thoroughly studied gives a fine opportunity to trace the Russian script history from 900 AD to the present day.
