The “Days of Japanese Culture” exhibition, which was attended by Sashida Takefusa and Hirose Shoko, famous calligraphers from Tokyo and Ichikawa, respectively, has been recently held at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.
At the opening ceremony Olga Shaburova, Deputy Director of the Museum, announced that all profit from ticket sales would be sent to the Embassy of Japan as a donation to victims of the recent disaster. And it has been carried out.
This week, Mr. Onishi, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in the Russian Federation, who visited the exhibition in late March, has presented gratitude on behalf of Masaharu Kohno, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in Russia, to representatives of the Museum.
In turn, museum management handed over catalogs of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, which represent masterpieces of Japanese calligraphers, to the Embassy representatives.
