The Book of Esther through the eyes of a Sofer

Why is the Book of Esther the first commission for every Sofer? How long does it take to complete and how much does it cost? When and how was it first illustrated? Calligrapher Abraham Borshevsky answers all these questions in his interview with Jeps.ru.

Abraham Borshevsky is an Israeli calligrapher, master of sacred as well as creative calligraphy, owner of two Guinness World Records.

The parchments with Bible verses artistically designed by Borshevsky were on display in The Russian Academy of Fine Arts Museum in St.Petersburg as part of the International Calligraphy Exhibition in 2008.
