On May 31st, after the RF President Golf Cup finals, the Moscow Country Club saw the concluding press conference with the organizers and sponsors of the tournament. Chulpan Khamatova, the founder of the Gift of Life charity foundation, also present at the conference, was given a symbolic check for 1 million rubles. The money will go to the children with grave illnesses.
According to Ivan Sergeyev, Head of GlavUpDK under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, who organized the Golf Cup, attracting such partners like Sokolniki MEC is a good example for Russian business circles. Projects like the International Exhibition of Calligraphy installed by Sokolniki MEC have both spiritual power and a great aesthetic and educational meaning for the future of Russia – for our children.
Alexey Shaburov, President of Sokolniki MEC proposed to bring the calligraphic exhibition to the children in hospitals. Ill children will see the beautiful pictures and works of the famous calligraphers, and we hope the power of art will cure them and help overcome all difficulties. Mr. Shaburov is sure this action will fill children with joy and happiness.
We hope the growing generation of Russians will be healthy and strong. Sokolniki MEC is going to do its best to cure the children who need help.
Calligraphy is a remedy and mental gymnastics.
