The 8th All-Russian Tourist Award “Route of the Year”

Kirov has won! The results of the 8th All-Russian Tourist Award “Route of the Year” have been announced. The final was held in Perm on November 24-26.

In 2021, 445 projects were submitted for the award. More than two hundred projects from 40 regions of Russia, including the Kirov region, reached the final.

Elena Danyushenkova, Director of the Center for Tourism Development of the Kirov region:

“We had three very busy days for our entire team at the All-Russian Award ‘Route of the Year’, many worthy projects had applied for the award, the competition was fierce. Experts pointed out that the guided tours and weekend tours that we had presented reflect the history and traditions of the Vyatka region and unlock the current potential of the region to attract tourists.

As a result, three projects from the Kirov region received high marks.

The excursion “History of Khlynov” developed by the Khlynov History Museum won first prize in the Best Museum Tour category.

The excursion “History of Chocolate from the Mayans to Our Days” by the Criollo Chocolate History Museum won second prize in the Best Museum Tour category.

The “Gastronomic Vyatka” project by the Center for Tourism Development of the Kirov region won first prize in the Best Route Idea category.
