Sunday calligraphy master classes

Yesterday, the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy was once again full of people. Russian calligraphy artists conducted a number of master classes as part of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy.

A special online seminar for children took place early in the day. Nina Kozubova, a teacher from the National School of Calligraphy, showed the children what the Russian Cyrillic cursive handwriting is like. Not only the children, but their parents as well took part in the master class. The whole class was filmed by the representatives of «Karusel», a children’s TV channel.

Later on, Artyom Lebedev revealed the secrets of creating congratulatory inscriptions, and Larisa Drygval’s master class completed the Sunday program. The famous graphologist taught a master class titled “Handwriting and Personality Types”.

On the 18th of November we will have a visit from Yekaterina Nazarova, a calligrapher who lives in Japan. The visitors will get acquainted with Japanese writing and will be able to enjoy a calligraphy performance that will be accompanied by Shakuhachi, traditional Japanese flute. Welcome!
