Russia – China relations: Philosophical Perspective

On August 1, 2018 Alexey Shaburov, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy met with Darya Lungina, candidate of Philological Sciences (the equivalent of PhD in Philology), an educational program director at the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University, associate professor at the Department of History and Theory of World Culture.

At the meeting, which took place in the Museum building, the parties discussed some of the basic features of the Chinese culture as well as more subtle aspects of Chinese philosophical thought. They also touched upon the main difficulties of perception of the Chinese culture by Europeans. Cultural exchange between these two world powers is of great importance for strengthening and furthering their cooperation in all fields.

Since student exchange programs are very popular today, Alexey Shaburov and Darya Lungina committed themselves to promoting friendly relations between MSU and the EcoCentre Sokolniki Museum-Educational Complex, where MSU students can do an internship and take part in international projects, broaden their horizons, and gain valuable experience for future professional growth.
