Between July 1 and 7, 2019, a renowned Tibetan calligrapher Tashi Mennox will visit Moscow on the invitation of the Foundation for Contemplative Research to give a practical seminar on a style of Tibetan calligraphy u-chen, and two talks about contemplative art.
Born in the UK, Tashi has been learning various Western and Eastern artistic disciplines for the last 35 years, including 17 years of studying under the guidance of the legendary master Sherab Palden Beru, and lama Pema Lodrup, an expert in Sanskrit calligraphy. Over the years of his activities as an artist, Mennox completed a wide selection of projects in the tradition of Buddhism (including personal seals for the sitting Kalu Rinpoche and other masters), and exhibited in countless artistic exhibitions and festivals.
