Tehran’s Milad Tower will soon turn into a permanent exhibition offering Persian art for sale, Farzad Hushyar, Managing Director of Milad Tower said here on Sunday.

The management aims to turn this location into a cultural center, hosting art and cultural events, Hushyar said.

He added that the tower is currently hosting the first expo of paintings where a collection of works by veterans is on display. Works of painting, miniature, illumination, and calligraphy by veterans Mohammad-Baqer Aqamiri, Behzad Shishegaran, Roya Kazeruni, Elaheh Zare, Mehdi Hosseini, and several more are on show.

Over 20 Iranian artisans are also offering their products in different fields including miniature, calligraphy, illumination, painting, earthenware, intarsia, and many more to the visitors.

Hushyar said that the major goal of the exhibition is to encourage people to invest their money in Persian artworks as is done in other countries, "Persian art and culture needs to be backed by people."
