The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy is excited to invite you on the original tour by Sergey Nelyubov, named “The Russian Writing. Inking of Words”, which will take place on February 28. Sergey Nelyubov is an authorized cultural property expert in the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, a founder and director of the Russian lifestyle museum named Votchina. The tour will cover creation of handwritten texts in the earlier days, immersing you into a special feel of the centuries long gone with a unique collection of items dating back to the 12th-19th centuries and a captivating story.
The centerpiece of the exhibit is the writer’s table found in an abandoned village and restored by its owner over the course of five years! You will see the most rare items from unique collections, the purpose of which are open to guesswork for any contemporary individual, unless you have some expert to explain it to you.
