Calligraphy artist Varvara Panteleeva donated an original portrait of Alexander Pushkin to the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy during a Russian and Chinese conference for students “Be grateful, serve the community,” which took place on January 15, 2020. Made in pointed pen and ink, the portrait is based on the great poet’s own love lyrics written in the form of a spiral. The artwork features 38 poems, including “Tatyana’s letter to Onegin,” “I remember a wonderful moment,” “Madonna,” and many more.
