One of the Street Vision headliners decorated a floor pan with calligraphy

Pokras Lampas, painter and calligrapher from Moscow, has been working with fonts and letters of different complexity, as well as with large-scale fonts for more than eight years already. Over the past years he has been promoting Calligraphy on girls, a project that unites calligraphy and body-art.

Yet before the 3rd day of Street Vision kicked off, Pokras Lampas got to print the festival’s name in calligraphic style on a metal section of the floor. To perform the idea he used a windows brush instead of casual brushes and rollers. It took the calligraphist less than an hour to complete the work.

«It was much more interesting to draw on the metal section than on a wall. It already has boarders to make something in it. On one hand, it is harder, because you have to calculate everything right: will that fit or not. On the other hand, there is a limit to what you can do. But if you do everything right, it will visually look better. There are both pros and cons,» Pokras Lampas shared.

Besides the work on the pad, the painter held a master-class in calligraphy for the citizens of Tomks. He also delivered a lecture for the guests of Street Vision.

It is worth mentioning that the Street Vision festival of contemporary art takes place for the 3rd time already. Many guests from other regions participate in it together with the citizens of Tomsk. The event’s headliners became a bunch of famous Russian cultural workers.
