The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy is continually refilled with new chefs d’oeuvre that will be introduced by the exposition scheduled for Veliky Novgorod. New arrivals represent calligraphic paintings from P.P. Chobitko, O.A. Varlamova, A.A. Mishina, D.I. Petrovsky and V.D. Kozhevina. Among other unique masterpieces that Saint-Petersburg artists granted there is a fragment of a temple door called “Jacob wrestling with the Angel” showing both calligraphic text and sculpture composition.
