New project of Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

In February the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy launched a special project titled What Calligraphy Means for a Man of the 20th and 21st Century, which immediately sparked interest in many calligraphers all over the world. The project enables online sharing of opinions, experience and new ideas and sees the stories of creative paths infusing with opinions as to what calligraphy means for a modern human being.

Every artist is talented and unique in their own way, possessing individual writing technique, artistic style and sources of inspiration. Yet all of them contend that today's calligraphy is more than a writing art, but an art for self-expression through writing. This peaceful and noble art seems to be the lot for well educated individuals who engage in earnest and commit: every stroke or letter embed their feelings, emotions and a fragment of their own soul.
