Najip Naqqash Celebrating His Birthday on July 30

Member of the Union of Artists of Tatarstan, Member of the Chamber of Arts and Crafts of Tatarstan, textual scholar, calligrapher, teacher, and Laureate of the Gabdulla Tuqay State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Fayzrakhmanovich Ismagilov (pseudonym - Najip Nakkash) celebrates his birthday on July 30.

Najip Nakkash is fluent in various styles of Arabic writing, his works are bright and distinctive, compositions are well maintained, and the national flavor is well felt in them; he is a master of the ornament art, and he brings a lot of new, truly Tatar feature into traditional Islamic art. His tughras (personal and family signs or coats of arms) in Arabic script are in special demand among people as he is the author of more than 1000 tughras, and about 400 of them are made on glass.
