Musicalligraphy of Bahman Panahi

A remarkable calligrapher Bahman Panahi visited Russia at the end of February as part of his personal project Musicalligraphy. During his visit Mr.Panahi gave a series of lectures and workshops, where he introduced to the guests tools, techniques and graphic elements, as well as proportion system and rules of Persian calligraphy that went back to the Middle Ages.

In Moscow Bahman Panahi met with Alexei Shaburov, the Director of the World Calligraphy Museum, where the artworks of the Iranian calligrapher were exhibited, together with the hand-written book "Hafez Shirazi. Forty poems" created by Mr.Panahi in collaboration with other artists.
