On September 13, a group of representatives from the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy had a business meeting with the head of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Henan Association of Workers of Culture and Art, Ms Yan Yuan. The meeting was initiated by the Chinese party and took place in Beijing. Ms Yan also arranged for the guests to visit the calligraphy studio of artists Wang Kexiang and Wei Lihua from the Calligraphers Association of the Chaoyang District, Beijing. The masters of the brush showed great hospitality, held an entertaining workshop, and presented the Museum with the created pieces.
Alexey Shaburov, the director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, talked about the Museum’s activities and the upcoming large-scale projects devoted to Chinese calligraphy and scheduled for 2019. He thanked Ms Yan for the fascinating and memorable experience.
The two sides expressed a shared desire to establish a fruitful cooperation and discussed the possibility of receiving a delegation from the Henan Association of Workers of Culture and Art in Moscow this November.
