During their business trip to China, representatives of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy met with the leadership of the Chinese Sharp-pointed Nib Association.
The meeting took place in Beijing on August 17, 2018, and was attended by Zhang Huaqing, Chairman of the Association, Li Bing, Association Deputy Chairman of the Association and Party Secretary, and Li Miaoyan, head of the training center. The Museum was represented by Alexey Shaburov, Director of the Museum, Alexander Medvedev, an assistant to Mr Shaburov, and Alexey Kharyutkin, Deputy Director General of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center.
During the meeting, Mr Shaburov introduced the Museum and spoke about the upcoming exhibition: The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting: One Belt – One Road. The exhibition is scheduled for 2019 and is designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia (former USSR). Mr Shaburov invited the Association to take part in the exhibition.
The leaders of the Associations expressed a keen interest in the project and thanked the Museum for the honor to become a partner and a participant of the expo.
The parties agreed to begin cooperation and adopt the core principles and conditions according to which this cooperation should operate. The parties also pressed their readiness to agree on the terms and conditions of this cooperation.
