A new member from the Perm region — the Polazna Museum of Old Times — was added to the catalog of Private Museums of Russia. The founder of the museum is Alexander Yakovlevich Roor.
The museum story started when an ordinary carrying pole appeared in the house. Alexander Yakovlevich had an idea to decorate an empty wall of an outbuilding with carrying poles and hang a few flower pots. Who would have imagined that this would turn into an open-air museum?
The museum exhibits antiquities from the pre-revolutionary and the Soviet eras, mainly tools, household items, tableware, farm equipment, etc.
Museum’s activities
Preservation of antiquities, introduction to village life, popularization of museum activities.
Calligraphy is a kind of music not for the ears, but for the eyes.
