“Morning of Russia” at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, which is part of the Museum Quarter in Sokolniki Park, caught some media attention, welcoming the Morning of Russia program crew for Russia 1 TV-Channel. The theme of the story was the relevance of handwriting in today’s reality, where children from early age are trained to computers, cell phones and other digital devices from early age. Yuri Koverdyayev, curator of the National School of Calligraphy, came up with compelling arguments of an expert on the need to preserve the art of beautiful handwriting. After all, it had been scientifically proven that calligraphy has a beneficial effect on human health and development. The material is getting ready for the morning broadcast on Russia 1 TV-Channel, scheduled for next Wednesday.
