During their business trip to China, the team of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy held a meeting with one of China’s most distinguished contemporary calligraphers, Mr Zhang Hai.
Mr Zhang Hai gave a warm welcome to the guests from Moscow in his office in Beijing, showed them around the calligraphy museum, and, during a friendly lunch, discussed cooperation between the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and the Academy of Modern Calligraphy and Engraving headed by Mr Zhang Hai.
Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Shaburov gave Mr Zhang Hai and his colleagues a comprehensive overview of the upcoming exhibition “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting”, which is scheduled to be held in Moscow from September 20 to 22, 2019, and acquainted them with the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center.
During their friendly conversation, the parties committed themselves to strengthening bilateral ties between the countries and boosting their cultural exchanges, which are promoted by the contemporary calligraphy art of the two countries.
