On December 18, 2018, during their business trip to China, a delegation from the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy met with Li Zuo, an associate professor at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, calligrapher, poet, and translator. Li Zuo had already taken part in calligraphic exhibitions held by the museum and was happy to accept an invitation to join the museum’s new large-scale project: The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition. Li Zuo held a workshop on how to compose Chinese antithetical couplets and shared his thoughts on the art of calligraphy with Alexey Shaburov, director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. At the end of the meeting, Li Zuo made several gifts of his artworks, specially created for the above exhibition.
