The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, opened yesterday, is unique in many ways; for instance, it features a unique opportunity to meet the authors of the masterpieces exhibited at the museum and attend their master classes.
This day was rich in such events. The first master class in the business programme was that of an Indian calligrapher Manohar Desai, entitled “Self-Expression Through Letters”. The master class was attended by the pupils of a professional school of visual arts.
Partially teaching, partially playing, Mr. Desai managed to keep the attention of children who were steadily tracing the movements of his hand.
Picturesque and unusual works left a long-lasting impression on the children. They are sure to remember this visit to the museum for a long time.
Calligraphy is the art of both ideal writing and an ideal soul.
